This page is all about me and homemade creations that I learned how to make with my loving mother. I put my heart into what I make and am meticulous about making quality homemade gifts.
Though I have always been a crafty person. I started my own business after learning to make a professionally decorated wedding cake for my brother’s wedding. I enjoyed the art of it and continued to develop my craft. It wasn’t long before other family members and friends requested my services. My proudest cake today, the Mac of cakes, included 9 separates specialty cakes, in a layout around a beautiful fountain that was backlit, which my niece proudly posted Facebook. Each cake was a specialty cake, hand decorated in an intricate basketweave pattern made of my own, personal developed, buttercream icing which is shown on the home page.

This is only one of my many homemade creations, known as a quillow. I have to admit that many are not original ideas yet I put a little piece of me into everyone of them and make them my own.
My first craft affair was in sewing. My mother taught me to sew at an early age. Later as I cared for her when she came to live with me, she and I made quits together. My family raved over them and I was very proud to make them side by side with my mom.
I enjoy all things home such as gardening; my favorite is vegetables in raised beds, cooking; especially the soulful food my mother taught me to make, and many other relaxing things to do at home. Some of my favorite cooking projects that are loved by my family are hardy stews and slow cooked meals, not to mention my baked goods. Over the years I have developed a collection of my own recipes but the foundation of my cooking comes from my mother’s secrets that she handed down to me and I am now sharing with my daughter.
Of all the lessons that my mother taught me, by far, the greatest is my love for my church. I am a devout member and strong believer in Jesus Christ. This is my greatest virtue. My church members are truly a part of my family. I enjoy each Christmas time making delectable treats and Christmas gifts bags filled with goodies for them. After so many years of enjoying sharing my crafts with family, I have finally answered the many request to offer them for sale here on my website.
